The dining room one of the main spaces in the home where we encourage clients to lean in, to make a statement, to layer thoughtfully, and to design for both everyday use and gathering.
A few things we always consider:
â¨Â Lighting as the focal point
Think of it as the jewelry of the room. Whether sculptural, soft, or architectural, this is your opportunity to âdress upâ the space in a way that feels intentional and elevated.
đđźÂ A rug that ACTUALLY works
It should be large enough that chairs land on the rug even when theyâre pulled out (allow for 24â), anything smaller disrupts both the look and the function.
đĽÂ Storage that support entertaining
Sideboards and case pieces that house helpful items in a space do more than fill a wall, they give you a place to store, serve and style. From everyday tablewares to hosting large scale gatherings, these pieces should be both beautiful and functional.
đŞÂ Seating that invites people to stay
Comfort matters here. Our goal is to create a space that supports long dinners, conversation, and connection, not just something that looks good in passing.
đŻď¸Â Layered but restrained styling
Table tops donât often need much to feel stylish, but whatâs there should be well thought out and personalized with things like natural textures, seasonal elements, and pieces that donât compete with the overall design.
At its best, a dining room feels effortless, but every detail is doing its job.
