Custom window treatments are where sticker shock lands every time 🫢
But they aren’t optional… They’re as foundational as the paint on the walls and the art on them.
We help our clients PLAN for them from day one. Not as the last decision in the project, after the budget is already committed elsewhere.
Building or renovating in 2027? Let’s talk before we’re booked out! Currently speaking with clients for after November 2026. Consult link in bio. 🙌🏼

Cohesive design doesn’t begin in the living room. It begins at the curb.
The exterior 100% sets the expectation
This transitional home in Brentwood, just outside Nashville, was successful in what we set out to make for these awesome clients.. a sort of . Bronze and black metalwork that accents the exterior reappears inside through a family of lighting fixtures. The black marble fireplace surround, set against a board-and-batten wall painted in 💙 Dustblu by Sherwin Williams, picks up that same thread 🧵

We repeated the neutral palette of the architecture through natural wood and stone. And the generous proportions outside are met indoors by scaled-UP moments… An oversized waterfall island, fixtures that rise to meet tall ceilings, furniture that holds its own in rooms with real volume.

Every room in a well-designed home should know what the others are saying.

Bedroom design really starts with managing proportions and deciding spatially, what can fit in the space, and how to approach everything’s placement. The scale of the bed, the spacing around it, and the relationship between other furnishings to create a sense of structure and flow. When we balance these design elements and align them with one another, the room feels super grounded, which is OH so important…

Our clients expect the best. We don’t just dabble, but focus on creating a one of a kind; luxurious, high end bedroom design. All spaces meant for sleep are meant to have a softness, so the materials come into play quickly and are top priority. Upholstery, layered (real) luxury bedding, and subtle variation in tone soften the overall composition and never “overdone”.

Most people notice countertops and lighting first. Designers notice these five details

It’s often the quieter design decisions that shape how a kitchen feels and functions… the elements that subtly guide the eye, create balance, and define each space for cooking, cleaning & storing.

Here, we’re highlighting 🖐🏼 kitchen design details designers tend to notice right away:

- Flooring patterns that help define the kitchen within an open-concept layout
- Range hoods that double as architectural focal points
- Islands that contrast with surrounding cabinetry to anchor the design and color scheme
- Waterfall edges that highlight a luxe countertop material
- Handle-less cabinetry for a cleaner, more streamlined kitchen design

None of these choices are accidental. They’re thoughtful decisions that help us create kitchen designs that feel MUCH more balanced, intentional, and well designed. This is what we at spend our time on! ❤️

Save this post if you’re planning a kitchen renovation, designing a modern kitchen, or simply love noticing the details that elevate great interiors.

The in-between spaces 🙌🏼
In residential design, we don’t always call them rooms. Technically, they aren’t. They’re the hallways, landings, archways, and pass-through sitting areas that live between the rooms with more obvious assignments. A kitchen has a job. A bathroom has a job. The in-between’s role is quieter, but it isn’t smaller 🤍
At its best, an in-between works like a prologue. It introduces you to the room you’re about to enter… The light, the palette, the rhythm, the texture of being “in-between”

By the time you’ve crossed the threshold, the in-between has already told you how to feel about what comes next.
Their function might be less critical than a kitchen or a bath, but function isn’t the only thing worth designing for.
Thoughtful interior design means attention to every space. Not just the ones with the big decisions… But the ones that quietly shape how you move through your home.
Every space deserves a designer’s full attention, even the ones that look like they don’t need it ‼️

Historic homes come with incredible architectural details, but designing interiors that complement them without feeling overtly traditional requires being super focused on creating balance 🙌🏼  will tell you that for sure.

For this Brownstone, we layered modern furniture with the home’s original architectural framework to create a space that feels both current and timeless.

Natural light, plaster moldings, and soft neutral tones allow the architecture to remain the star while the furnishings bring warmth and comfort to the space.

The custom twelve-foot sectional anchors the room, while curved chaise lounges and textural ottomans add flexibility for entertaining and everyday living.

Spaces like this are a reminder that historic architecture and modern living can CERTAINLY coexist beautifully 😃

During the planning phase, our designers evaluate what’s going in the spaces to maximize the style and balance for the home on a holistic level. Also, we plan for all the decorative accessories for each room, which takes a good amount of balancing and consideration for those items style and materials to balance the larger furnishings. Looking at how each piece relates, how light hits a surface, and how scale changes the feel - these are all carefully considered in advance as well as along the way. By the time a design is presented, it’s already been thoughtfully considered, layer by layer.

This is when a design really comes together… Not just in what’s selected by the designer, but after the install and styling - you can really see how everything works as a whole. The many elements that make up a well designed room… Elements like proportions and scale, finishes, fabrics and other materials. They all work together and play off one another.

Thoughtful design is built long before anything is installed.

Creating Interiors with warmth isn’t just about choosing the right color palette. You’re going to need more than just paint‼️ That’s only one single layer that we use in

The way to create warmth in our world is something we build into a space through layering elements like mixed materials, textures, adding contrast, interesting light sources… and they ALL work together.

Natural finishes like wood and fabrics bring an immediate sense of softness.
Textiles are SO important to us at - It allows us to add a literal softness, create depth and keep a space from feeling one-dimensional.
Even contrast plays a role, balancing light and dark elements to create a more grounded, inviting environment - and another way we use contrast is through warm/cool tones in the same space to create balance!!

Often, in our work, the most impactful decisions are built into the architecture itself, paneling, beams, millwork, details that give a space presence before furnishings are ever introduced.

When these elements are considered together, the result is a home that feels intentional, comfortable, and lived in from the very beginning ❤️

The dining room one of the main spaces in the home where we encourage clients to lean in, to make a statement, to layer thoughtfully, and to design for both everyday use and gathering.

A few things we always consider:

✨ Lighting as the focal point
Think of it as the jewelry of the room. Whether sculptural, soft, or architectural, this is your opportunity to “dress up” the space in a way that feels intentional and elevated.

🙌🏼 A rug that ACTUALLY works
It should be large enough that chairs land on the rug even when they’re pulled out (allow for 24”), anything smaller disrupts both the look and the function.

🥃 Storage that support entertaining
Sideboards and case pieces that house helpful items in a space do more than fill a wall, they give you a place to store, serve and style. From everyday tablewares to hosting large scale gatherings, these pieces should be both beautiful and functional.

🪑 Seating that invites people to stay
Comfort matters here. Our goal is to create a space that supports long dinners, conversation, and connection, not just something that looks good in passing.

🕯️ Layered but restrained styling
Table tops don’t often need much to feel stylish, but what’s there should be well thought out and personalized with things like natural textures, seasonal elements, and pieces that don’t compete with the overall design.

At its best, a dining room feels effortless, but every detail is doing its job.

Trust the process.

Every phase of our design work is structured to bring clarity for our clients to see the vision, from initial concepts to material selections and final decisions.

During the presentation phase, we bring everything together to ensure the direction feels cohesive, considered, and aligned before moving forward.

It’s how we maintain quality, manage expectations, and create a result that is intentional from start to finish.

Great design isn’t rushed and it’s certainly not without structure. It’s refined through process, and we take that process seriously.
