David Vallone Restorations, Inc.

David Vallone Restorations, Inc. Antique Restoration Services of 18th and 19th furniture in the Buffalo, NY and surrounding areas I then relocated to Buffalo N.Y.

I began restoring fine period antique furniture and other art objects of art in Sarasota Florida in the mid 1980's. in 1987 to take over an existing antique restoration business that had been in existence in the Buffalo area for many years encompassing a very elite clientele. I am a self taught restoration artist whose clientele includes private collectors, museums and antique dealers all over the

country. After many very successful years in the Buffalo area decided to return back to the Sarasota-Bradenton area in 2000 and continue the antique restoration business in a much warmer climate still servicing the same clients I have had over the years in other areas of the country. Our business specializes in the historically correct preservation and restoration of 17th, 18th and 19th century period antique furniture and other objects of art including but not limited to painting restoration, gold leaf frame restoration, and custom faux finishes. I am in no means a production shop. I only take on a few projects at a time so that my clients are not waiting for long periods for their work to be done. Turnaround time will usually take no longer than one month from a start date. Although the business has scaled down quite a bit from the Buffalo days with the employees and the large shop I continue to welcome any changeling and unusual projects that may come along. We can also fabricate a large variety of custom made antique reproduction pieces and replacement pieces to suit your needs. I work frequently with antique dealers, designers, and insurance companies in the area to help settle claims for damage that you or your clients may have occurred during a move or other circumstances. I can assure you that your restoration project will be done correctly the first time with every attention to detail applied to all of my work. I still travel back Buffalo and to many other parts of the country including both the east and west coasts of Florida on an annual basis to maintain several pieces for my clients as an onsite maintenance service which may include cleaning, waxing and any minor repairs or touch ups needed. I have found that this is a great service that many clients have come to enjoy over the years. Their fine collections are always properly cared for and maintained and the pieces never have to leave the residence. This service is especially helpful for very large pieces or pieces that the clients just do not want removed from the home. Our nearly thirty years in the antiques business assures you that you will have the utmost care and knowledge for your items that can be found with a reputation second to none. Antique Restoration Returns to Buffalo

David Vallone Antique Restoration & Fine Antiques

After many years serving clients in Florida, I’m pleased to announce that my antique restoration and antique furniture business has returned to the Buffalo, New York area — where my restoration career began.

I specialize in the restoration and preservation of 18th- and 19th-century American and European furniture and objects of art.

My approach is straightforward: preserve as much of the original piece as possible while addressing the damage, wear, and structural problems that time has created.

I work on fine period furniture, decorative arts, unusual objects, and challenging restoration projects that require traditional craftsmanship, patience, and an understanding of how these pieces were originally made.

I also maintain a collection of 18th- and 19th-century American and European antiques available for purchase.

If you have an antique that needs restoration, repair, conservation, or simply an experienced opinion, I welcome the opportunity to discuss it.

Now serving Buffalo and Western New York.

American Chippendale 18th century Pine tall chest in an old refinished surface. Nicely dovetailed top and case joints with six molded edged drawers. The hardware appears to be original to the piece. There are a couple of old repairs to the drawers and the base has two older replaced glue blocks. Very nice color and patina to the old pine surface. The drawers are all gliding smoothly in the case. The usual surface imperfections as expected with age and use.
