In this market you just can’t skip the staging!

After sitting on the market last year, the listing agent for this cute cabin called us this spring to give it a facelift before taking it back to market.

At my first walkthrough I asked what the feedback had been so far, and was told they couldn’t really get buyers beyond the living room. It was just dark and uninviting. We had the homeowner change lightbulbs and move out a lot of old furniture. Then we came in and declutterred even more and brought in new living room and dining room furniture, created a new office space, and gave the rest a big refresh.

It went under contract almost as soon as it hit the market 🙌🙌🙌

Grateful for our realtor partners that trust us to help them get their listings sold! Not every home requires full staging, but I have never met a home that couldn’t use some amount of prep before photos. Putting your best face forward is absolutely necessary in today’s market. We’ve been so busy staging in between listing our own homes this spring, that I haven’t had the chance to share one of my favorite staging jobs so far 🤩🤩🤩

The ice didn’t hold us back from moving out of our staging projects this week!

The floorplan of this one made it a little hard for buyers to visualize how to set up furniture and it really needed to be warmed up a bit, so we were called in to help. As soon as we set up the living room it was instant wow (honestly it always is), but it made the room look probably 10% bigger and so much more functional. So much so that the buyers purchased a good chunk of the furniture to come along with the home!

We had our biggest months ever in September and October with six big staging jobs between Blowing Rock and Todd. It was a lot of work, but it was a heck of a lot of fun! Check out the before and afters on a few of our projects. It’s always so amazing to see these homes we work on come together. I love sharing the before and afters because it’s so dramatic the difference it makes to have a home decorated. Imagine the difference it makes for buyers touring these listings.

Staging truly transforms a house into a home, and it is so satisfying for us to see our plans come together (after a lot of nail biting and usually a few late night trips to Home Goods lol). It’s always a bit wild and inevitably something doesn’t work the way I envisioned, but we are getting better and faster with each job and the past two months of designing, ordering, and ex*****on have been so much fun.

Hey friends! It’s been awhile so I thought you would maybe wanna see a cool house we staged recently.

I’ll never forget pulling up for my consult and looking at the realtor and going “oh, I know this house!” I was pretty giddy with excitement to see the renovation… and I think it’s safe to say they nailed it!

Ross grew up playing in this house since one of his best friends lived here growing up, and to say he was shocked when I told him it was our next job is an understatement. What a small world and full circle moment getting to decorate it after it underwent such a beautiful transformation ❤️😍

It was definitely a favorite and so much fun to stage, and I wish I took better photos but this ended up being our little hurricane house. I barely made it back to my own house before roads started flooding the night before and then couldn’t get back to complete it for a few days and then life was a bit too crazy for photos again 🤪…so enjoy these not quite complete but no one else would ever know the difference pictures that don’t show off the amazing view nearly enough because said hurricane was upon us.. but still shows off this gorgeous house nonetheless.

Just saying, I really hope the new buyers buy this bedroom furniture so we don’t have to move it out 😂

I should probably learn to read the weight on some of these things before I buy them for staging 🥴

If you are looking for a mid century style upholstered bed, I highly recommend this one. It’s solid and even more beautiful in person.

This was my favorite bed from our latest staging job and I love it so much 😍

Eagles Nest is complete 💃💃💃

I know I have said it literally after every job I’ve worked on the past year, but this one is my new favorite 😍😍😍

Maybe because it’s an absolutely stunning home in arguably the most amazing neighborhood in the High Country. Maybe because it was the biggest job we’ve ever done and it was so much fun to work with a fellow baddie .me! Or maybe it’s because it is 100% my design and was executed 𝒶𝓁𝓂𝑜𝓈𝓉 flawlessly 😜

Either way I’m super proud of this one and cannot wait to see the professional photos coming this week! Don’t worry, I’m way too excited to wait for the pro photos so I’ll be sharing some of my own as soon as I get some sleep!

Super thankful to everyone that helped me pull this one off this week. I most definitely could not have done it without you 🙌🙌🙌
