Alright folks, I'm really excited to finally get to show this one to you! I have a bit of caulking and paint touch-ups yet to do, and there are no decorations to dress it up, but I didn't want to wait any longer. This basement entertainment center combines a soothing green with the beauty of a lightly stained cherry hardwood. Contrasted with bright white nickel gap and basket weave wallpaper back panels, it keeps the space pleasantly bright for a basement living room.
Additionally, there are some really neat features that aren't apparent at first glance. These include:
* full 48" deep center drawer that retracts into a small wall cavity under the fireplace above for massive storage
* metal grommets located in the countertops and back panels allow access to outlets in the base cabinets from anywhere in the uppers
* removable panels in the nickel gap behind the TV let you run cables to/from devices without a cord in sight
* magnetically secured panel grants access to the plumbing clean-out hidden behind the upper cabinet on the right side
It has been an incredibly fun, challenging, and rewarding project.
All that being said, I'd love to hear what you think!
