In The Shed Designs Refinished, Repurposed, Custom Painted and Custom Built Furniture It all started with a craft desk that Richard made a few years ago.

Deborah was making jewelry and showed Richard a couple of desks that she liked that would help her be more productive. He built the desk and she was more than wowed!!! From there, he started rescuing pieces that most people would throw away thinking they were beyond repair. He put a little TLC into them and made them like new. He mostly does repair work, refinishing, restoration and some of the pa

inting. Since Deborah teaches first grade full time, she likes to come home and bust the stress of the day through sanding and painting furniture. Richard does repair work on furniture that is broken or just needs shored up. Richard has repurposed furniture and also done some restoration work. Commission work is our favorite and we will meet with you in order to determine what your vision is. If you have a vision of that special or unique piece that you want, Richard can custom build it for you. Take a look at our page to see the current items we have for sale and pieces we have sold. Did you know you could sharpen your scissors with a piece of aluminum foil?? Take a piece of aluminum foil, about 8-10 inches long, and fold it lengthwise multiple times so you have a thick, folded strip of foil. Have an idea about how you'd like to repurpose something? Richard took this entertainment center and converted it into a chifferobe. It turned out beautiful and I wanted to keep it! We made a deal. If it didn't sell in so many days, I could keep it. Well, I lost the deal but a sweet little girl has a beautiful place to keep her things. :) If you want to repurpose something, let's talk about it!
