Have you tried gel stain? Truly magical stuff 🧙‍♂️ Here is my $50 marketplace find (table & 4 chairs - solid wood) Yes - I DID completely sand the top (really not needed when using gel stain - my original plan was for the top to be white BUT my paintbrush had other plans. Detail was added with WoodUbend trim (currently 50% off at paintingladydesigns.com) and then drybrushed with chalkpaint. The same color was used to stencil the top and paint the chairs (more on those later) Top of the table was sealed with satin spar urethane (my go to for sealing heavy duty areas such as counters, sinks, table tops etc ) I confess I'm not very good at recycling with my trash BUT I make up for it recycling furniture!

I don't know why other than it was really cool. I was scrolling my photos looking for painting inspiration for Element: Earth and up popped pics from my last trip to England. I need to plan a trip back very soon.... Also- That raven sitting on top of Stonehenge watching us was extra cool.... and the face in the rock just fascinated me....
