I finally completed my first cowhide from our local family farm! It took me a little bit of trial and error to get it fully broken and get all the stiffness out. But thats to be expected since this was my first one! I planned to use the cowhide for upholstery but seeing it in my living room is making me question my decisions! The cowhide with the leopard carpet??? Are you kidding me! Its goregous!!😍😍 I do have two more hides in pickling but they won't be nearly as hairy as this beautiful plush winter hide! I'm so glad that I sought this out and learned a new trade! 💪

CALLING ALL CONTRACTORS!
We are on the hunt for someone to help build our tiny house villa! We are looking for any companies that would love the opportunity to build something unique with us! Here's the concept below! 👇 We have made a few changes but this is the general idea! We would need the following if anyone knows of a business tag them below!
1. A Frame building
2. Grain Bin Silo
3. 20x50 regular tiny house
4. Geodesic Dome (this one may come later or may not even work due to insurance not covering something like this)

We are super excited to hit the ground running on this after demo and would love any and all bids from local businesses!

The secret is out!! About a week after the Howdy House was finished and booked my mom texted me she was ready to do another Airbnb. I said girl now I know you're trying to unalive me because my body hasn't recovered from the Howdy House! 🤣 What was supposed to be one property has now turned into 3 possibly four! But these will be brand new built and themed properties! All plans and designs have been finished (I can't wait to show you what the concepts are!!) And this house is set for demolition Monday! We will be vlogging our whole journey from demo to completion! This is going to be so much fun I can't wait!!

Trigger Warning!
I'm always up for learning something new and today that something is tanning hair on cowhides! This hide will be used in future upholstery projects from our family farm! It's just a black hair on hide so once its completed I may add some acid wash or bleach for more color if I'm feeling adventurous! This will be one of roughly six cowhides that I tan!

I took some much needed time off of work after finishing up the Howdy House! I definitely needed some R&R my body and soul were tirrreeddd! But now I'm back at upholstery before I get super busy again! I've had a few couches sitting around that I haven't had time to get to! Starting off strong with this absolute jaw dropper! I'd be lying if I said this one was a breeze! It definitely made me question my sanity and patience a time or 10! 🤣 But it turned out stunning!
