We’ve always worked in pairs in our design business. The real magic is that it’s two sets of ears and eyes. More eyes and ears to listen to clients and observe what they are saying without saying. Working in pairs always allows for teaching moments, too. It allows someone to show you something from a different perspective that you may not have ever known. We bring together different minds and collaborate on ideas that way. It also keeps everyone involved and not just in the background. If we have multiple players, we get that great stylistic mix that Kibler & Kirch loves. It’s also just more fun!

Testing custom made Yellowstone map wallpaper installation in our retail store before we use this idea for a client. To get this look, we recolored the normal topographic maps from green to sepia—taking our color inspo from a plaid fabric we wanted in the room, then meticulously cropped to have only YNP fill the wall. It was a challenge to get it installed perfectly because we chose to make this from a series of giant stickers, but a little patience and a steady hand went a long way. What else could be more fitting for our handsome bison to hang in front of?

This season we’ve been asking guests of our store to find something they’d love to have—large or small—and write it down. Today we drew a winner out of hundreds of wishes!

Here we have our favorite, most trusted iron beds, one of our favorite chests (everyone on our team wants one of these), simple but fun bedding from some our favs, framed original sketches on layered over Navajo rugs, and one of the most handsome lamps. But you probably did not expect a zebra rug, which has just the right touch of warmth and complexity to its white to work with the creamier tones of everything. This is black and white, but complex. And this is how red can animated an entire room.
