One of my projects this year is to freshen up the living room and front foyer. Since this is the home my grandparents bought back around the end of WWII most of the furnishings, carpet and drapes are literally older than me. Lol! It's a true blessing however to live here and the blessing is not lost on me 💕.
I'm also taking care of my mother full time who has a myriad of health problems the biggest being Alzheimer's disease. So needless to say, I need a creative outlet and this is it this year. So far I have taken up the carpet, taken down the drapes and gotten rid of 2 worn out overloved by many pets, harvest gold love seats covered in bulletproof herculon.
I've been bringing in antique and vintage pieces I've collected over the years and it's already really brightening up the space. This piece came from a flea market on the west side of Cleveland. The original tag was in the drawer. It was from Pier One originally and was $450. I think I paid $50. It's a perfect TV cabinet/book shelf.
I'll keep an update on this project through the next few weeks. Hope you follow along!🏘️
