Developing the new Pantheon collection for .
I took over 1000 pictures of the Pantheon in Rome after being in awe of the incredible juxtaposition of different architectural elements blending so well together.
In this new group I wanted to take some of my favorite elements and blend them into a transitional form that will hopefully last as long as the inspiration has!
White oak, leather wrapped in and finished in champagne metallic.

I will never completely understand the challenges faced by people of color in daily life. When we adopted our oldest two sons I was truly blind to the injustices faced by some on a daily basis. I've had to navigate these waters with my sons as they learn that not only are they different than us, but that some people look down on them for the color of their skin. These past 6 years have been truly amazing to watch them not just survive but truly thrive in everything they do. They've had numerous obstacles come their way from birth to orphanages to international adoption to race battles. I could not be happier to be their father and my family will stand together to bring change in our circles.

I think I got more DM's about this leather floor than anything else ever 😂. Mostly people just asking how it will wear but also about how I made it.
I made it using a harness leather from that is almost 1/4" thick and pressed to a 1/2"ply that I cut tongue and grooves into so it could be installed. Made splines out of Maple 1x so the installer had lots of flexibility.
So to answer the how will it wear question I simply look at history. Highclere Castle (the estate where Downton Abbey was filmed) has one of it's ball rooms done in original leather floors. That's from the late 1600's. That's coming up on 350 years. I would say it's going to last just fine. Leather is the strongest materials known to man and even has a tensile strength stronger than steel. When people ask you for performance materials for their home, what better material to use than one that has proven itself for thousands of years.
