Roughing out a 17”x6” 2 tone walnut bowl. This thing is soaking wet! Very green still. I will core out 2 more bowls from the inside. The big one will be finish turned in about a year when dry.

2 toned (heartwood & sapwood) Walnut bowl turned from a tree taken from a friend’s farm in Wisconsin. Also has some nice ripple figure. Bead added to the rim for accent.

2 weeks from tonight is our biggest Open Studio yet!!

If you’ve been to our annual Open Studios in the past, it’s always a well attended festive event with the Aurora Artists Studios resident artists and sometimes a guest artist or 2. This year, our landlord has let us use the large vacant studio, so we invited our friends who work in 3d (we’ve got 2D covered) to join us!!

Great art fair in Geneva this weekend. Come on by and shop some amazing artists. I’ll be in front of the courthouse.

For over 20 years, the juried Geneva Arts Fair has risen in attendance and notoriety. The fine arts show showcases fine artisans from around the country in a host of mediums from 10 am-5 pm.
