We had an epic Labor Day weekend. Fri/Sat Loren Homola came to our range for a private two day class. We got to work on fundamentals, some elr shooting and some tripod/positional shooting to prep them for Washington’s up and coming deer season.

Sunday and Monday we headed down to Heildsburg to a private ranch to host a private class. The two days were filled with a ton of shooting, evenings spent deer hunting and great home made food. The ranch is amazing and we may be working on a few courses there for the 2027 season.

My first A Zone buck!

I was fortunate to do a little hunting prior to a private two day class today and stumbled upon this guy. No crazy technical shot but a well placed bullet dropped him in his tracks. I want to say a huge thank you to Ranch Life | Homesteader Craftsman for allowing me to hunt and the invite to teach a class. We may have some cool stuff coming for this place in the near future and maybe a new class on the schedule for 2027

The workhorse of the r***e fleet, this thing has sat in the top 3 at multiple hunter match’s, killed a half dozen deer in multiple states and just an overall great shooting r***e

Don’t let this chick deceive you, she is an absolute beast behind a r***e. She shot 4 sub half MOA groups yesterday then hit every 1 MOA target on the range out to 1043 yards. Today she shot a sub quarter MOA group then rang steel out to 1770 yards where she made a second round impact in some crazy switchy winds all while reading the mirage and making her own wind calls.

Never understood “hunters” who talk s**t on someone else’s buck because the rack doesn’t “measure up” to some made up standard they have. Be happy a fellow hunter tagged out in a zone that has a less then 10% success rate.

The final Fundamentals of Long Range class of 2026 is in the books.

Thank you to everyone who joined us throughout this year’s Fundamentals classes. It was great to see shooters continue building confidence, refining their marksmanship, and strengthening the skills that matter most. Solid fundamentals are the foundation of precision shooting, and the progress we’ve seen this year has been outstanding.

While this was our final Fundamentals class, we still have several opportunities to train with us:

• September 11 – LR Skills Clinic
• September 12–13 – LR Hunter
• October 11–12 – Make It to a Mile

We’re also have a limited number of private lessons and small group classes dates open over the next couple of months that you can DM to book.
