An example of the vacuum table use. We are making up laminated pieces for exterior doors on a very nice house in Bristol, RI. The project when completed was more than beautiful!

Here is a project shown again because I finally got my office straightened out; shelves in the closet and the "room" basically EMPTY of stuff....

The shelves in the closet are made of a double laminated 5/8" marine plywood. It is .050" Formica on both sides pressed in either a vacuum or heated press. It is VERY stiff and strong.

Interesting phone call this afternoon... I had sent out a letter to a local business in Attleboro about the front doors to their building. I saw they replaced some time ago with oak doors pretty heavy...they deteriorated in a few years to now they are stained black and rotting from the water from the street. They are interested in a set of doors that will hold up, I think we can make a set for them and best of all they are right around the corner from our shop!

Been very quiet here due to health issues and a few other things. I have recovered from somewhat major hernia surgery and at that same time the Dialysis Catheter was installed so I can do paratneal (sp. to lazy to look it up!) dialysis. Schooling on this had taken much time but it's worth it. One must be very careful not to poison one's self with infection...that is NOT good so very careful measures must be taken to keep things clean! All in all, we are doing well and taking steps into the next room as another door has opened.

Well it was a long project of working on and off it but the custom door project is now finished. The storm doors were basically installed yesterday. Pictures to follow. I must say they look absolutely beautiful in every way and work perfectly!

We have received a commission to build pretty much a copy of the doors that WERE there in place when the building opened in the late 1800's. It will be fun... HUGE brass hinges...heavy structure, huge jambs..they will have white oak veener of around 1/2" thick on them all around.

We are getting more and more involved in the making of custom doors. Right now the Fall River project is moving along fine. We have double 3 x 8 foot doors and a single 44 x 91" Door all of them 2-3/8" thick! I am looking for more projects like this. I know of some local companies that have entry doors like this that could be restored or replaced....

FOR SALE! Folks I started this years ago for a client, he covered material and some labor and never finished it. It is an entertainment center. it is quite big, almost 96" wide and 80" or so high. This is made with all custom plywood made in our shop. Cherry on the outside and White Maple on the inside. All the edges are banded in 3/32" IPE. IT is a shell as you can see. Doors can be made any way you like, glass, raised panel...flat...whatever. Figure for a run of the mill finish (all doors and shelves) $6,500.00 or so. For a custom piece like this it is a bargain. I'd finish it for myself but our house has no spots where it would work! Contact me here if you are interested!
