Viking Age Woodwerks

Viking Age Woodwerks "Viking Age Woodwerks" is my personal business for the medieval / viking age furniture and other woodworks that I make in my spare time.

I have been a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), Inc., for 30+ years. We are an international non-profit medieval history re-creation society. This is the business I will continue with as I retire from my professional field. All of my woodworking pieces are custom made to your specifications. Creation times can be weeks, if not months, as I work on these in my spare time / days

off. Eventually this will change as time goes by. Currently I work out of my garage at home. Eventually I plan to build a separate shop dedicated entirely to my woodworking. I come from a family of woodworkers. My paternal grandfather was a very talented amateur woodworker with his own shop in his back yard. I learned quite a bit from him in my teens. An uncle on my mother's side was a professional, with his own shop/business in Texas, making things like church pews, podiums, etc. I've been mostly self-taught (other than some things Granddaddy taught me 30 years ago).

These are what we will be making in one of the woodworking classes I will be teaching at Gulf Wars in a few weeks.
