So….. I think a positive is needed so desperately. Here’s mine. I am soooo proud of my southern neighbors. We have all pulled together. We’re all trying to help, volunteering, doing whatever we can. My kids have pitched in and are doing anything that they can to help. My friends are desperately trying to do something to help. I met a wonderful woman today, Abby, who even though she has her own problems going on, she and her husband are doing what they can to try and help. Political sides don’t matter, race, religion, and all things don’t matter. We are all just trying to help. So I’m proud. I’m proud that I’m a southerner. I’m proud that we have the capabilities to do what we can.
And I’m so incredibly proud of the stamina and resilience of these southern folks. It’s a horrible catastrophic event, but I’m so proud of how the South is coming together to try and help.
