This was the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!
IT WAS PRETTY LIT!
I’ve been dreading turning 30 for a long time! I used to feel like you HAD to have children, a husband, career and a house with a picket fence by 30. I felt like you HAD to have it ALL together by 30. THIRTY felt like a deadline.
They don’t tell you that life is just beginning.
The things that I’ve learned in the past 2 years have prepared me to enter into a decade with an open heart and an open mind. I’ve learned to choose me. I’ve learned to do what my heart desires and stand on it. I’ve learned to talk to God before I talk to anyone else.
I love my peace and quiet. I love being alone. I love my career. I have a stronger relationship with my mother and God (I prayed we learned to communicate and express ourselves in our language.)
Chapter 29 was amazing! The brands and connections I’m building have sowed the seeds that will flourish in my 30s!
This is the first birthday my uncle won’t call and say “Happy Birthday to my lil ole gal!” and give me $20… I’m going to “Just Keep Buzzing” like you raised me to 💛🐝
