Thump, She was born in Hayward California in 1980 by the Gillig Corporation and shortly after birth she moved to Klamath Falls in Southern Oregon. By model name Thump is a 636DT11, a Gillig Transit Coach School Bus with a Caterpillar 3208 V8 Diesel 10.4 liter engine and 11 double rows. She worked as a school bus for 34 years delivering children to and from school every day and amassing a quarter o

f a million miles on the road. In the Fall of 2014, Thump was passed on to us, pristinely well maintained by the school district and ready for a new life. With help help of our community, she has been blossoming into a beautiful new form. Thumps is now an experiment in traveling community, a vessel to explore and adventure the world at large, an opportunity to remain curious about our potential; We intend to show the world what the collective power of community is capable of.
