BuzzFeed News takes a close look at the results of CSE's 2019 Southern LGBTQ Health Survey, published today! The Survey, the centerpiece of CSE's work this year in the Southern LGBTQ Health Initiative, captures the health stories and experiences of a record number of LGBTQ Southerners. Take a look:

"It's a very specific experience to be an LGBTQ person in the South," Rev. Jasmine Beach-Ferrara, the executive director at Campaign for Southern Equality, told BuzzFeed News.

I haven't made many found-object/scrap sculptures lately, so this commission was a treat. Made with: calipers, compass, shovel blade, c-clamps, bandsaw blade, circ saw blade, fireplace screen, spade bits, railroad spikes, cable...about 4' wingspan. His proud new owner picked him up yesterday. I admit: I miss having him around!

Just got back from Louisville, KY! The fabulous folks at The Steam Exchange needed some window bars for their space. They deserve so much more than 'good enough,' so I created a "metal mural" to honor their work. Thanks to Rachel Mauser and Caitlin Kannapell for all you do!

Installing in the rain is way more fun than it sounds! We had a good time putting this in yesterday. The Speichers are really happy with their Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired privacy panel...custom design and fabrication by Steeltoe Sunshine.
