After a Very Long Time in the queue, I am happy to share that we finished an antique chest of drawers for my (patient) friend. This piece was falling apart but has so much history that it shouldn't be thrown away. We guess it be at least 80 years old. I'm happy that we were able to put it back together and give it new life. Thanks to my partner - the carpenter - who made it stable again and rebuilt all the drawers. It looks happy in its new home. The before and after pictures tell the story.

I haven't finished anything in a while, that's ready to share. I thought I'd show you what I did in my studio. It needed a thorough cleaning and I'm just getting started with that. However, we had crates from Hailey's wedding that needed a purpose. I had photos of friends and family that I want around me when I'm being creative, but I need all my shelf space for supplies. So... my solution is to hang them on the wall. I love the way they look against the navy blue walls. What do you think of my idea? Have you done anything fun to hang things on the wall?

When the weather interferes with my furniture painting plans over the weekend, it's nice to have an indoor project that can be finished. This little baby is on its way to Gracie Lane Collection shops. I'm sure there is a good little boy or girl out there who needs a rocking chair. A friend opened a new booth at Gracie Lane in Arlington and asked us if we'd like to add some things to her inventory. My Turn has some beautiful bowls and a huge snowman. I added my gray chest of drawers and 2 mirror/coat racks. Gracie Lane is having their Holiday Sip n Shop on Thursday evening. mid-century 4-drawer chest... $200...Grey and Old White chalk paint decorate the deep drawers and dove-tailed construction, which are some of the aspects of this sturdy piece of furniture. Manufactured by Ballman-Cummings Furniture Co., this has original copper pulls on top & bottom drawers. The porcelain/copper k***s complement them well. The new graphic design mimics the wood design on the drawer fronts.
