Found this MCM hutch a year ago, and finally finished! Added legs to elevate its appeal, and gave it a butter smooth black body to complete my vision.

Note: the body was in very bad shape, chips, missing veneer etc..

Using General Finishes Lamp Black Milk Paint, Vandyke Glaze, and 50/50 Satinand HP Flat

Found this MCM hutch a year ago, and finally finished! Added legs to elevate its appeal, and gave it a butter smooth black body to complete my vision.

This client wanted a console, so the search was on for good bones to work with and create her dream. With alot of thought ,we came up with this.
With so much yellow , I stripped with , oxalic acid, and a watered down vinegar steel wool wash to cancel out yellow.
The bottom of this piece got a whole new oak piece which I sourced from an Armoire I bought. K***s from Amazon.

I used General Finishes WB Walnut, and Satin Clear. This was my biggest transformation to date, but really fun too! 3 months in the making!

2026 starts off with a finished project. I don't often do chairs, but this one had such a charm I could'nt resist.
She got a good cleaning, Sanding and coat of General Finishes WB Walnut Stain, Van D**e Glaze, and HP Flat/Satin Clear.

Stay tuned many more projects on my to do list❤️
