The struggle with dust collection is real! The question “which random orbital sander should I choose?” seems to come up frequently.

This is a short video I put together while sanding some Cedar parts for a speaker box prototype. It’s not a perfect setup but I have been pleased with the progress made.

I sanded for a little over and hour using a Bosch ROS20VSC, sanding with both 80 and 120 grit Sandnet discs all hooked to a 6.5 HP Rigid 16000 shop vac. Judging from the size of the particulate at the end of the video, the bulk of the dust at the end appear to be from the dado and rabbet cuts.

It’s not scientific by any stretch, just my experience.
