Great turnout this evening at Newberry Hall to welcome Senator Darline Graham to the Aiken Republican Club.

Next month, Charlie Hartz will be speaking. If you missed today's meeting, we hope you'll join us for the next one.

Great lunch yesterday with South Carolina's next Comptroller General, Mike Burkhold, and South Carolina's next Commissioner of Agriculture, Cody Simpson.

It was super interesting to hear about South Carolina's $3.5 billion accounting error and how Burkhold plans to update systems and practices at the state to make state spending transparent to taxpayers.

Simpson also told us about his plans to strengthen farms and food security here in South Carolina.

Plan to come to our next meeting, when Senator Darline Graham will be our guest speaker.

Great lunch yesterday with South Carolina's next Attorney General, David Stumbo.

David covered a lot of ground with the Club, and everyone came away impressed and looking forward to voting for him in November.

Congratulations to Senator Darline Graham for securing the GOP nomination. Let's have all Republicans and conservatives come together to beat the liberal democrats in November!

Thanks to Gary Bunker for giving us a presentation on what's going on in Aiken County.

Glad to see a great turnout for the monthly meeting!

Just a reminder - no lunch in July - we'll see you again in August.

Congratulations to our next governor Alan Wilson! Now is the time for all Republicans to come together and win in November!

The Club had great lunchtime presentations this week by Jeremy Cannon, candidate for SC Commissioner of Agriculture, as well as by David Pascoe, candidate for Attorney General.

Glad to have heard both of them speak!

Don't forget that early voting is ongoing now, with Election Day on June 9th. If you need more info, you can find it at https://www.aikencountyrepublicanparty.com/Elections

Next month, the ARC will have Gary Bunker, Aiken County Counsil Chair, as its lunchtime speaker.

Our friends at the Aiken County GOP recently held a straw poll at their Stump Rally. See the results below.

Great lunchtime presentation today by State Superintendent of Education, Ellen Weaver.

Did you know South Carolina is definitely moving in the right direction on education over the past few years? Teacher vacancies down, teacher starting pay up. College/Career Readiness up from 61% in 2021 to 75% in 2025.

Grades 3-8 reading up from 42% meeting/exceeding in 2021 to 60% in 2025. Like the "Mississippi Miracle", the "South Carolina Surge" is based on the implementation of Reading Science (pronounced "phonics").

Come join us next month! Stay involved! Learn about South Carolina!
