🔘This tree species is known for it’s thorn-like stump that is utilized as protection for the tree.
 🔘An interesting fact about the Devil’s Walkingstick is that the tree has different types of leaves that are layered from top to bottom!

Next time you go grocery shopping, stop at your local farmers market or grocery store that sells local and organic products! 🌱  Shopping organic products not only is preservative-free, but is easier and more energy efficient on the planet! 🌍

Local produce will allow your community to expand on many levels, including financially and emotionally (not to mention it’s usually easier on your wallet). 💵

Pamukkale, Turkey 📍

Mother Nature said “let there be BLUE”! 🦋

🔹This hidden gem is home to 17 natural hot springs and was given the name Pamukkale as it directly translates to “cotton castle”.

🔹Pamukkale is home to “Cleopatra’s pool” as it is said that the Egyptian Queen used to swim there.

🔹The waters from the hot springs range between 30-50 degrees Celsius (86-122 degrees Fahrenheit!)

Who wants to go swimming here?! 🏊🏼

: The Quaking (Yellow) Aspen 🌳

Yellow is officially our favorite color! 😍

We like to think of the Yellow Aspen as the tree of succession. The Aspen is known for its beautiful colors ,but is better known as the tree species that spread quickly, specifically in eroded or burnt-out areas. ✖️

The leaves of the Aspen tree are what make them so magical. Being that they have large rounded leaves, they are known to move in any slight wind. 🍃

Make sure you do your research before planting a tree in your backyard or you could end up with more than intended!

This little guy is a white-gibbon monkey who are native to the Southeast Asian regions and are an endangered species. ⚠️

The trees provide them a home and protection.

Simple Sustainability Tip: Always shop energy efficient appliances! 💡

Whenever you are shopping for a new products, make sure they are ENERGY STAR qualified products. ☑️

Once you have deemed them ENERGY STAR certified, do your research on choosing the product that uses the least amount of energy possible! ⭐️

Also, only purchases appliances you truly NEED (if you don’t need a full-sized refrigerator, get a mini!) 🤦🏾

: The Rainbow Eucalyptus Tree! 🌈

The rainbow eucalyptus tree only survives in the Northern Hemisphere with a lot of rainfall and can reach up to 250 feet in height! 📏

It’s flowers are packed with nectar, making them a great source for honey! 🍯

The rainbow effect is caused by the tree shedding layers of its bark at different times. ⏱

I don’t know about you, but this is definitely one of the most beautiful trees we’ve seen! 😍

: The Breadfruit Tree! 🍞

What the heck is breadfruit you ask? 🧐

Breadfruit is a superfood that can be eaten both ripe as fruit and mature as a vegetable! 🍑🥦

Brought to Hawai’i by Polynesians, the Breadfruit tree, named “ulu”, was used for ancient voyaging, serving as a form to build canoes. 🛶

This tree has helped colonize the Pacific and is a part of traditional Hawaiian culture due to its various uses! 🌸

Chichen Itza, Mexico 📍

Home of one of the seven wonders of the world: El Castillo (the Temple of Kukulkan), Chichen Itza gets its fame from its multiple attractions. 🛕

This watering hole is known as the “cenote”, holds the title as natures second loveliest natural swimming pools. 🤿

The name Chichen Itza means ”the mouth at the well of Itza” from the traditional Mayan language. Itza directly translates to “magic water” and is known to have sacred spiritual qualities! ✨
