“Reef Toxic” sunscreen banned in Thai National Parks ❌ 🇹🇭

From Tuesday (3/08/21), sunscreens that include common ingredients, including Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, 4-Methylbenzyl and Butylparaben are banned from use in Thai National parks 👏🏼

A fine of THB100000 will apply to those who violate the new law ⭕️

As a visitor to the park and the reef, each of us can reduce the risk of harming coral by limiting what we bring into the water 🌊💙

Do you think Thailand can do the same? Start by refusing single-use plastic straws, cutlery, plates and bags.

New Zealand had already banned most single-use plastic bags in 2019, but the changes will include packaging for produce, as well as a range of other items 👏🏼🙏🏻

The government also announced a fund for businesses to research alternatives to single-use plastics 💚♻️
