A little look back at our VIP & Media Night last Friday, our Montessori collaboration with .montgomery , held at the magical space of .hub ✨ Many of our classic MOMIJI pieces are displayed in the space too.

It was an intimate evening shared with our VIP customers, KOLs, interior designers, retail partners, and dear friends who have supported us throughout our journey. Seeing our pieces experienced in person, naturally becoming part of moments of connection and togetherness, reminded us that MOMIJI has always been about more than just furniture. It is about creating spaces that feel lived in, welcoming, gentle, and meaningful.

Mums.

Our paths may look different, but the feeling is the same, the quiet decisions, the conscious choices, the constant pull between being present and providing.

At MOMIJI 🍁, our story was shaped in these in-between moments. Choosing to step away, to build something of our own, hoping it would bring us closer to what matters most, yet finding ourselves in early mornings, late nights, and everything in between.

Trying to hold it all together, and sometimes, feeling like we fall short.

But maybe this is motherhood.
Not perfection, but presence.
Not having it all figured out, but showing up with love, again and again ❤️

To all the mums walking this path, your children feel it.

There is no perfect way, only your way. And that is enough.

So hold them close, through the chaos and the fleeting moments that quietly become everything.

And remember, a happy home begins with a mother who is also held with care and kindness, especially by herself.

We’ve reimagined one of your favourites with thoughtful updates to make everyday play even more fun, and a little more practical too.

With increased storage, a removable grill rack, and new hanging hooks, everything has its place, making it easier for little ones to play, organise, and create their own routines ✨

We wanted to take a moment to share a little bit of its story with you.

It hasn’t been a straight path, but over the past year, we’ve slowly brought MOMIJI back to life, and the way you’ve welcomed it, supported it, and trusted it in your homes has meant more to us than we can say.

Behind every piece is a whole community, the craftsmen who bring them to life, and all of you who make them part of your everyday moments 🌿

With so much uncertainty in the world, we’re simply doing our best, one step at a time.

What we didn’t know about rattan… until we built this business 🌿

Not all rattan is the same, and it took us time to truly understand how much the raw material changes everything. From strength to durability to the final finish, the quality of the rattan directly shapes the quality of the piece.

Rattan is graded, and while some use lower grades and treat them to look more uniform, we chose from the beginning to only work with Grade A rattan. It means embracing natural variations, but also creating pieces that last, age beautifully, and stay true to the material.

It’s one of the biggest lessons we’ve learned, and one of the reasons our pieces are made the way they are today 🤍
