"a foolhardy endeavor..."

As I stepped into the second iteration of the Parasitic collection, I carried with me a quiet confidence—armed with the knowledge and familiarity earned from the first. I believed I could revisit the same gestures, the same techniques, with equal ease. But the work, as always, had its own intentions.

This time, the scale was larger, the dialogue more demanding. The relationship between the “host” and the “parasite” was no longer just conceptual—it became a physical, almost confrontational exchange. Each day presented a new tension, a new negotiation between form and imbalance, mass and vulnerability. What began as a continuation soon transformed into a consuming presence. The work grew inside me—persistent, parasitic in its own right—inhabiting my thoughts, weighing on my body, altering my rhythms.

It has been weeks since I posted anything (on IG). The making has been slow, visceral, and deeply internal. The absence of process images is no accident—this phase of the journey has been too intimate, too consuming to pause and document. It has asked for complete surrender.

This project continues to humble me, reminding me that no craft is ever truly mastered, only listened to. As we edge toward September, I look forward to sharing the completed artefact. Until then, stay safe.
