SOULMATES
They were once part of the same walnut tree — two pieces that grew side by side, sharing the same roots, the same light.
When the tree was cut, their paths divided.
Now, mirrored and reunited, they reveal how difference can create harmony.
The slabs are not identical — one carries a single crack, the other two.
Like two beings that share the same essence, yet express it differently —
or, perhaps, like a man and a woman: supporting one another, reflecting one another, living in quiet harmony within their differences.
No resin. No disguise.
Every void was healed with wood, not hidden beneath it.
Each union is held together with butterfly joints, crafted in the spirit of George Nakashima — celebrating imperfection as part of wholeness.
When the natural ends became too sharp to serve their purpose, we refused to cut them.
We chose instead to preserve the integrity of the tree.
To give the table full function without losing the tree’s wholeness, we integrated a transversal board of ''olivato'' Ash — .a subtle gesture of continuity, like a protective arc — the quiet presence of something greater, watching over the harmony of two becoming one.
The legs, sculpted from the same walnut, carry the weight of the piece with calm grace.
SOULMATES is not just a table.
It is a story of reunion — of two forms that once grew together, drifted apart, and now stand side by side again.
Different. Equal. Complete.
Its dimensions are as impressive as its story — 115 cm wide and 340 cm long,
a dining or conference table that comfortably seats twelve people.
