37th EUROPEAN KYOKUSHIN CHAMPIONSHIPS ŚWINOUJŚCIE APRIL 24-25, 2026
The 37th European Kyokushin Championships took place in Świnoujście on April 24-25, 2026, with 468 competitors competing in kumite and kata, representing 25 countries.
On April 23, over 60 judges participated in the International Judges' Course, led by Shihan Fernando Peres, Chairman of the International Judges' Commission.
The European Championships were officially opened by Joanna Agatowska President of Świnoujście, Antonio Pinero, President of the European Kyokushin Federation, Andrzej Drewniak, Secretary General of the Federation, Maciej Sokołowski, President of the Polish Karate Association, and Andrzej Kłujszo, President of the West Pomeranian Karate Association.
On the first day of the competition, competitors competed in the junior, junior, and youth kumite and kata categories. In the evening, the European Federation held its General Assembly and Elections, during which the Board of Directors was elected: President Antonio Pinero, Vice President Hristo Traykov, Secretary General Andrzej Drewniak, and Treasurer Tomas Lopez. The date of the 6th Kyokushin World Championships was also set for April 9-10, 2027, in Zaragoza.
On the second day, the competitions were held in the senior, junior, and masters kumite and kata categories.
Medalists in all kumite and kata events received artistically crafted trophies and medals.
The entire European Championships were broadcast live online.
As usual during the three European Championships held in Świnoujście (2017, 2022, and 2026), the arena was adorned with numerous banners referencing Japanese culture.
The organizer of the European Championships was the Świnoujście Kyokushin Karate Academy, led by sensei Paweł Sujka.
