Francesco Favaretto

Raised in Italy within a family deeply rooted in architecture and interior design, Francesco Favaretto developed an early sensitivity to form, proportion, and industrial culture. In 2009, he joined Favaretto & Partners — the design studio founded in 1973 by Arch. Paolo Favaretto in Padua — continuing a legacy of more than fifty years in industrial design, product development, furniture, lighting, and strategic consultancy.

For Artu, collaboration with Francesco Favaretto represents a natural dialogue between Italian design heritage and contemporary European manufacturing expertise.

His ability to anticipate global trends while maintaining timeless aesthetics aligns with Artu’s commitment to expressive yet functional furniture. Gin is a seating collection designed by the Italian design studio Favaretto&Partners
⠀
Composed by a chair, a lounge armchair, and a two-seater sofa, it embodies the rich heritage of Italian industrial design, resulting in forms that are clean and minimal, yet refined and noble in both character and materials.

The collection is built on a harmonious balance between aesthetics and functionality. Carefully studied proportions, soft sculptural lines, and a strong focus on ergonomics ensure both visual lightness and everyday comfort.

Pablo is a product designer from Valencia, Spain, specializing in furniture design. Shaped by his coastal roots, his work carries expressive, colorful, and joyful qualities inspired by the Mediterranean way of life.

Deeply connected to Mediterranean culture, Pablo sees design as a dialogue between object and user — creating pieces that feel human, approachable, and intuitively familiar.

Meet the Kanji Chair by

Kanji draws inspiration from the sinograms of the Japanese writing system — symbols rich in cultural and aesthetic meaning, and a fundamental element of Japanese visual culture. Their elegance lies in simple, intentional strokes that together form an entire alphabet.
⠀
This idea is translated into the chair’s design. Its most distinctive feature is the contrast between perspectives: from the side, a strong, architectural structure supports a slender seat and backrest; from the front, thin, refined legs are balanced by a wide, expressive backrest.
