Student Organizations are very vital to educational institutions like FEU-East Asia College of Information Technology. Among the first recognized student organization is CompSoc (Computer Society) which was founded on 1993 with the College CSIT and IT student as it members. In 2004, The IT members realized that their line of interest is different from their counterparts, thus resulted to the idea of putting up an organization of their own through the organization, Web.IT. In 2010, FEU – East Asia Colleged made Information Technology as a course with specializations along with Computer Science wherein IT – Ditigal Arts and IT – Web Applications Development were introduced. In 2011, there are changes and additions in the current specializations that made Information Technology in FEU – East Asia College have three specializations: IT – Digital Arts, IT – Web and Mobile Applications Development and IT - Animation and Game Development. Thus in 2012, Web.IT Organization initiated the foundation of a new organization that would be inline with the current situation of IT in the college, the Inforamtion Technology Students’ Organization (I.T.S.O.). This was due to the efforts of the school year 2011-2012 officers led by the President – Joseph Gabriel Tomas and Public Relations Officer – Kelvin Dhel Ocampo. The organization’s first appointed officers who will serve for a year term are Kelvin Dhel Ocampo as President, Benjamin Leonardo Ang as Vice President for External Affairs, Imee Mondejar as Vice President for Internal Affairs, Rizaline Junelle Domingo as Secretary, Leslie Anne Militante as Treasurer, Arjohn Galindo as Auditor and Via Paula Pacia as Public Relations Officer. The organization’s first subordinate organizations are Digital Arts Students’ Organization (D.A.S.A.), Advanced 3D (ADV3D) and Web.IT. I.T.S.O. celebrates its anniversary every 18th day of April.
