Calling all young curators!

CCP VAMD and TAO INC will be holding an online curatorial workshop from 23-27 November 2020. The 21AM Curatorial Workshop is part of the ongoing preparations for 21AM, the new contemporary art museum to be established by CCP. 5 slots will be open to curators who are not currently connected to CCP and are interested in pursuing projects related to the CCP and its collections.

Join us on August 18, Saturday, at 5:30 PM in Nomina Nuda's last event for its inaugural program, A roundtable on the state of arts and criticism in Los Baños, after Artist talk: Mesándel Virtusio Arguelles, which begins at 3 PM.

Flatforms is Nomina Nuda's regular platform for workshops and roundtable discussions. For its first installment, Flatforms will build on works from the first issue of The Basement to explore issues in contemporary cultural production in Los Baños, Laguna. Edited by Magpies, The Basement is an online publication that invites its readers to enter the conversation on arts criticism in Los Baños, or lack thereof.

Glenn Diaz' first book The Quiet Ones (Ateneo Press) won the 2017 Palanca Grand Prize for the Novel. His work, including short fiction, poetry, and criticism, has been published in the US, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. He is a recipient of the M Literary Residency at Sangam House in Bangalore, India, among other fellowships. He lives in Manila and currently teaches English and literature at the Ateneo de Manila University.

culture medium is a talk show hosted at Nomina Nuda by Mac Andre Arboleda, Shaunnah Ysabel Cledera, and Karize Uy. For its first installment, the program will have novelist Glenn Diaz, author of THE QUIET ONES, as our guest before he finally leaves the country to pursue his PhD. Join us on July 24, Tuesday, at 4 PM as we discuss his novel and other works, his poetics, politics, and personal life, and his upcoming projects.
