CLIENT TESTIMONY:
With a heart full of gratitude, I am proud to say that I am now a US Registered Nurse, having passed the NCLEX on my first attempt at 85 questions.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the NCLEX Unlimited Team for strengthening my core concepts during my review. Special thanks to our Prof. Kristina Parulan-Andaya for her lectures that highlighted the most important concepts. I would also like to thank Ma’am Christine for actively attending to my concerns and inquiries throughout my review, and to the other lecturers of NCLEX Unlimited for sharing their knowledge.
I reviewed while going through a personal crisis. I belong to Team Replay, studying intermittently for about two months—one month for mastering the important concepts and making my own reviewer, and another month for repetition, which truly helped reinforce my understanding. I practiced explaining concepts and rationales without looking at my notes, with a little Q&A practice.
I am not recommending fellow USRN aspirants to follow exactly what I did because I lacked time and preparation. However, what I strongly recommend is to learn every concept by heart—not just by memorizing, but by being able to explain the details and rationales on your own. When you truly understand the concepts, even if the NCLEX question style changes, you will not get lost because you carry the knowledge and critical thinking skills of a safe nurse.
I had several case studies and Select-All-That-Apply questions, many of which were tricky. My advice is to trust your nursing assessment. If your assessment tells you that the patient does not need a certain procedure—even if the choices include complicated diseases—do not over-rationalize. Many of us are trained to focus on complex diseases, but we should never forget the basics and the importance of sound clinical judgment.
I am deeply grateful to my family and friends for their support. Most especially to my husband, Matthew John Fondales, for never stopping believing in me and reminding me that I could do it despite all the hardships.
I also thank my prayer warriors, especially Mama Mary, St. Jude Thaddeus, the apostles, and the saints. I prayed to simply pass on my first attempt, but God blessed me with an above the passing standard score. Above all, this achievement would not have been possible without the Holy Trinity—God the Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
I truly believe that having a nursing license is not only about intelligence or skills, but a calling from God to serve others with compassion and love. May we always remain humble and remember that this blessing is all by His grace.
To God be all the glory!
Thank you, NCLEX UNLIMITED!
