All of our fingers and toes crossed for our fabulous local show to go ahead next week!! 🙏🏻🤞🏻
The Wanaka A&P Show is incredibly pleased to announce that we are continuing with our setup for the 2021 Show – to be held on March 12-13 – assuming the South Island returns to Alert Level 1 next week.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of a huge percentage of our valued trade exhibitors, sponsors and funders who pledged their support towards the set up costs we face over the next 10 days, we have secured the financial amount required for the Board to allow us to continue as planned.
It is important to note that we are unable to hold the event in Alert Level 2, so we do require the Government to reduce the alert level to Level 1 in order for us to operate.
We are truly grateful to the trade exhibitors, sponsors and funders who pledged their financial commitment over the past 24 hours, it is because of you that we are able to continue towards setting up the 2021 Wanaka A&P Show.
We know how much it means to you all to have the Wanaka A&P Show go ahead and we have been humbled by the financial backing and words of encouragement shown in recent days. Your pledges of support demonstrate how much the Wanaka A&P Show matters to our community.
We would like to assure you that we will be operating within the Event Sector Voluntary Code and providing additional Covid-19 precautions, including requiring everyone to sign in as they arrive at the Show, asking each trade exhibitor to provide their own QR code for their customers and plenty of hand sanitiser will be available throughout the Showgrounds.
Thank you to all for your support through this challenging 24 hours, and we remain hopeful for a positive outcome on Sunday in relation to the Alert Levels.
Kind regards,
The Wanaka A&P Show Team
