Hi team, time for another platter or two, this one I give all the credit to Cindy who has great vision.

You seem to have ‘Lost your marbles’ 😊. I was milled from a Rimu tree in the early part of the 1870’s and used in the construction of the Criterion Hotel in the small town of Bulls, in the Manawatu region.

In 2015 after about 100 years my home made way for a new community centre and I was recovered to be re-purposed.
In 2016 I found a new home with Darin & Cindy Frost and having found a purpose they worked tirelessly and with great care to expose my beauty in the form of the platter board you see here.
I’m perfect ! despite my beauty spots along the side giving some insight into my journey.

I’ve been dressed up a bit with art deco style handles, your lost marbles, encased in resin for protection with the opportunity to grace a table for years to come.

I just want to thank you for your likes and comments, it's very much appreciated.

Special thanks to Ceeann for getting me set up and enduring my questions and very limited knowledge of social media ( I so need Tech support ! ).

The other thing is and you're all thinking it, how big are these things ?

Well the boards to date are 650 x 230 x 45 (Length/Width/Depth all in mm), but they will vary a little as I try to mimimise waste from the timber and of course I'll make one to your desired size.

As to price, the boards posted are $400 +pp (less pp if I'm able to drop it off for you).

I'll post a new board each week and some photos of boards and a coffee table that have already been completed.

Cheers
Frosty

If earthy tones are your thing, then I’m your broad (I mean board) with my beautiful grain and brown stone river.

Milled from a Rimu tree in the early part of the 1870’s I was used in the construction of the Criterion Hotel (1875) in the small town of Bulls, in the Manawatu region.

In 2015 my home made way for a new community centre and I was recovered to be re-purposed.
In 2016 I was sold to Darin & Cindy Frost and having found a purpose they worked tirelessly and with great care to expose my beauty in the form of the platter board you see here.

I was cheekily difficult to work with, when Darin was applying the resin, I constantly released gas (air) from the lines on my face and was not the lady he expected me to be, but we finally came to an arrangement.

I’ve been dressed up a bit with classic style handles, brown river stones, encased in resin for protection with the opportunity to grace a table for years to come.

Welcome to my new page, I’ve started making resin platters and coffee tables from re-cycled timber.

All are hand crafted so no two are the same and at the moment I’m using rimu recovered from the old Criterian Hotel in Bulls, NZ.

If you see a platter you like great, but I will also custom make your platter or coffee table based on your own ideas.
