🔥How can you create training activities that help players think, adapt, and perform when it matters most?
Join Basketball New Zealand’s Coaching and Inclusion team for an interactive two-hour workshop designed specifically for wheelchair basketball coaches. Through real coaching scenarios, you will explore modern coaching approaches and learn practical strategies that can be immediately applied in your own environment.
❤️Working alongside other coaches, you will design activities that help players solve problems, make decisions, and develop the skills needed for game performance. You’ll then put those activities into action, experience them first-hand, and reflect on what worked, what could be improved, and how different coaching approaches can influence learning.
This workshop is ideal for coaches looking to:
🌟Coach players with different abilities together more effectively
🤩Improve the transfer of learning from practice to competition
♿️Design engaging, player-centred training activities
🚀Expand their coaching toolkit with practical, adaptable strategies
🪩Reflect on and refine their current coaching approach
💥Expect a mix of discussion, hands-on design, practical experience, and collaborative reflection, with ideas you can take straight back to your team.
🏆We look forward to having loads of coaching chat, some hotly contested games of wheelchair basketball plus kai and korero.
