Tailor to tailors, lessons you need

1.Take measurements TWICE.
One wrong measurement can disgrace you. Even if the person is rushing, abeg re-measure.

2.Not every customer is your customer.
Some people will drainnnn your energy, waste your time and still complain. I learnt to politely say I'm not AVAILABLE..

3.Stop underselling yourself.
Charging low doesn't bring loyalty, it only brings entitlement. The day I increased my price, serious customers stayed, unserious people disappeared.

4.Document everything.
Style reference, fabric received, balance paid, write everything down. Customers forget quickly, screenshot don't.

5. Learn to say NO.
No to ridiculous deadlines. No to unrealistic styles. No to JUST HELP ME prices. No is self respect.

6. Invest in your tools.
A good machine, good scissors, good tape rule. They save time and elevate your work. Cheap tools will embarrass you.

7. Don't stop LEARNING.
New cuts, new trends, new techniques. Tailoring no I sabi already o. The industry evolves daily.

8. Protect your PEACE.
Some customers will blame you for their own mistakes. Don't let them spoil your mood or the love for your craft.

9.Your finishing is your signature.
One neat outfit can bring your five new clients. One rough outfit can chase ten away. Prioritize
FINISHING.

10. Consistency beats talent.
You don't have to be the BEST tailor. Just keep showing up, keep practicing. Keep posting, keep improving.
