Every time go exhibition, always hear the same kind of noise. Imported mattress lah, warranty longer lah, this one got award, that one confirm better. Suddenly everybody expert, all got their own ‘secret recipe’ for perfect sleep. People say, “If from outside country, sure good one.” Wah, macam ang moh air confirm cleaner than local rainwater.
But I also wonder, so many claims, really got check or not? Some more, the way they psycho, macam local brand cannot win. Like Malaysia latex tak layak masuk champion league. Padahal, who actually sleep on those imported brands every night? Got difference meh? My friend who use local latex, swear by it—no backache, no panas, just shiok. Even say, “Malaysia own latex, why need to cari jauh-jauh?”
Sometimes I feel Malaysians kena brainwash. Marketing say “imported” then our own product jadi second class? Padahal Malaysia latex industry already world-famous. Export until Europe also trust, but sendiri tak percaya. Why always let noisy exhibition banners decide what’s best for our own sleep?
End of the day, are we really comparing quality, or just letting marketing dictate our preference? Local latex sudah so kuat, still want to believe every loud claim out there? Maybe it’s time to trust our own, and not get psycho by colourful booths and fancy ang moh words. After all, comfort is not about the loudest voice—but the best sleep, right?
