This month we are excited to feature local artist, Bill Quinn.
Currently based in Oaxaca, Mexico, Bill Quinn’s practice charts the liminal space between the seen and the sensed. His paintings emerge from a visual language shaped by texture, symbols, and intuition—an attempt to map the unconscious and its shifting terrain. From an early age, Quinn approached the world as a coded landscape, something felt through color, gesture, and form.
His work often returns to the idea of thresholds: the borderlands between waking and sleep, memory and imagination, life and death. These layered compositions reflect this fascination, presenting spaces where meaning unravels and the unknown begins to surface. Each canvas acts as a portal, drawing viewers into realms that resist certainty while inviting reflection, vulnerability, and wonder.
