Have you had your existential crisis yet or what??

I’m kinda into the idea of a world where people celebrate what brings a sense of ‘ha I did it!’ In the face of internal nae-sayers so I’m going to give it my best shot at embodying that.

shambala.madagascar lives on so I 10/10 recommend though I have pivoted to where I’m intending to propel a shift in the American mindset as a epicentre of innovation and competitive strive to be the best eat my dust vibes of HRH caperterlizzzmm.

Potentially make a tit of yerself on the internet but my publicist told me to do it so 🤪

What exceptional « luck ».

CDMX gifted me a reminder of my capacity to find what I look for.

Trying to pick myself up after a cortisol overloaded disaster of a week, I came to my senses and thought of how I welcome a pleasant surprise, being in a new city.

And walked by.

We waved and he was on some mission regarding Hape…

Then later on a asks if I’m at ozora, and when I say I’m in CDMX tells of how I _have_ to meet a living legend and sends me the number of the one bro I have met in this town.

Wild gifts. And a note to self that when I feel they’ve forgotten me; invite them.

May the imagination run wild.

I’m noticing a little theme in these stories that come to mind.

I get them in a flash, and then procrastinate on them for … a year in this case, because I imagine them beautifully illustrated and published in print.

But not all the steps between now and then.

But if I don’t use them I lose them. And I actually grieve for the characters and stories that have come to me and been lost in misplaced sketchbooks or amongst to do lists.

They deserve to be free more than ‘perfect’.

I could make something more ´beautiful’ if I took the time. But it seems I haven’t got there yet.

And for now they feel better shared than perfect.

And if this speaks to you, please do send a smoke signal or something.

And even better, post a draft.

When I was a little child I totally thought being a grown up looked RUBBISH.

We had WAAAY more fun.

I would live whole lives in other worlds and as other animals with what grown ups would call.. my imagination.
And somehow that flow would mean we could enter these realms as friends, and pick up where we left off when we next met.

I’ve definitely been a raccoon, a lion, a wolf, and a stingray.

Somehow I was so not present, but also so present.
I knew I could create my reality.

And grown ups spent so much of my life telling me I couldn’t, because they were told they couldn’t, that I find myself here. Grown up.

With a mild ‘productivity’ addiction.

I also remember the heart break moment when a girl with whom I’d play ‘lions’ told me ´we don’t play those games any more’ as we walked through the gates of ‘big school’ and things got way more lame.

Having fun in life is not tragic. Pretending to be cool is.

Thankfully my imagination is still pretty potent. It is my favourite thing.

So the same goes for M**A, if it’s supporting healing from all these different maladies, do they share a common cause?

M**A tends to produce a feeling of safety, and love, that allows expression and relief of grief, and fear, and pain that one may have been unconsciously storing.

We might not be aware that it’s there, but that’s how it pulls strings in our lives and has us asking ourselves - why does this keep happening!?

If you or anyone you know is struggling, please reach out, or check out the articles at which may have some info that could change your life.

Could all these conditions for which psilocybin is beneficial have a shared root cause?

I hypothesise what this root cause could be, based upon what I understand psilocybin to do, on a neuropsychopharmacological (and therefore maybe spiritual?) level.

Judgement.

Judgement that clouds perspective, and conditionalises our ability to love others and ourselves.

Judgement that creates masks that block our ability to recognise and connect with our wholeness and that of others.

Judgement that we’ve learnt, identified with, and then impose on others, often oblivious of the subjectivity and source of the notion in the first place.

A moment to exist without the lenses of judgement can save lives.
Particularly for those living with anorexia.

I’m grateful to see results from studies that show improvement in one’s wellbeing, more than just weight gain or loss.

Please, if you or someone you know is suffering from a belief system that completely disregards their own wellbeing and worthiness of love, point them in my direction, or share some of the thoughtful articles published on , like this one called ‘Psilocybin for Anorexia’

When one’ll give up everything for one thing, but can’t give up one thing for everything.

Within the setting of clinical trials, which come with supportive psychological support and clinical intention, psilocybin is again producing revolutionary effects for those who’ve been struggling with serious addictions for decades.

The abstinence rates are one thing, but the meaningfulness this experience is reported to have brought to people’s lives suggests to me that this is real healing.

There’s no numbing here. It might not be easy, but how blessed we are to have amongst us on this planet a teacher that can breaks chains.

it’s our minds that make the mushroom magic.

Well done mushrooms. Well done people.

Are you aware of the phenomenon whereby the breaking of a barrier of possibility by one person opens a floodgate?

The story that comes to mind is of Bannister’s 4 minute mile, and I wonder, could the same be true of healing?

These case studies suggested healing from OCD is possible, even when many treatments weren’t supportive.

And now clinical data corroborates these stories.

We’re all masters and students, and in such spirit I share this articulation of my humanly limited and unlimited appreciation for what working with plants can be.

We usually go the long way round to work this stuff out, though Steve Elfrink’s written an article with hope to introduce the concepts central to the healing in his life, and upon which he based his practices and offerings upon.

Ultimately these are just words and pictures until they’re experienced… but ideally bringing them to our awareness invites them into our timeline, and brings a degree of familiarity should they pop up further along.

Does it surprise you that psych3delics are being proposed to HELP rather than HARM one’s wellbeing?

I vividly remember stating as a child that I would not do drugs.. except that I would like to try magic mushrooms.
Where this confidence came from I’m not sure (perhaps thank The Beatles), but it was not with therapeutic intention.
And ironically, before I was 18 I was receiving commonly prescribed antidepressant drugs, SSRIs.

I was advised that, as I was already experiencing an intangible grief and emotional fragility regarded as psychiatric diagnoses, that I ought avoid psych3delic compounds.

So imagine my surprise to find that my comfort in mushroom induced-states seemed to be greater than that of my companion’s, who would be considered mentally stable, diagnosis free…

…and the profoundly therapeutic effects that psilocybin (a key component of magic mushrooms) educed within me. *especially* when I’ve been stuck in a loop.

And hence I find myself now applied to the mission of revolution within this field of psychiatry, currently in getting research findings to those who seek a shift, or to challenge what healing with pshychiatry can look like.

This article by Leigh Bergin outlines what clinical data and naturalistic studies have identified regarding the psychological safety of psilocybin.
Please do consider the nuances of data collected in such settings, and the unique nature of each of our experiences, and how this is reflected in how psilocybin would interact with us.

What a cool quirk that, when it comes to eating magic mushrooms, it is pretty much impossible to eat enough to cause serious physical toxicity via their known p$ychedelic component, psilocybin…

It’s almost like we, or they, were made for it!

In all seriousness, amongst the last thing one wants with a hefty psilocybin dose is a genuine fear of resultant death.
So, I hope sharing these findings can bring some comfort in one’s courage to surrender to whatever journey or insights a dose may behold.

Or at least access to peer-reviewed guidance on what to consider if you are considering…

Do note that psilocybin is contained in magic mushrooms amongst other alkaloids, and this research is largely focussed on psilocybin manufactured and administered in a quality controlled setting.
