In this project and private house of Renzo Mol, a Dutch designer and the artist behind Ozner studios, materials and their contradicting characteristics are a central theme, certainly when perfectly combined into this warm unity for his private home in the very north Drenthe province of the Netherlands.

When Sebastien Lewyllie from Les Vrais, design curation and distribution company received the first pictures of the kitchen from Renzo, he needed little thought to see that the combination of the hand-woven Mexican palm above the RVS kitchen isle would indeed create the warmth Renzo was looking for.

The first studio davidpompa cilia’s in the Netherlands where delivered shortly after, and what a beautiful result!

Opening this invite for Mexico City art week this morning, explaining to my daughter that i would take a plane and come back very soon, kissing my after an excellent birthday evening with my family and making this post on the tgv to cdg before the flight and soon seeing all the fan-tas-tic new pieces in Roma Norte surrounded by all the people that helped make this possible again…

I want to say thank you to all the people we work with, from our suppliers, to our customers and the customers of our customers as this is exactly what my company .lighting wants to do: meet inspiring & aspiring designers, true craftsmen and genius minds that become friends sharing the same values and bringing this to our network of architects, interior architects and retailers that understand how fan-tas-tic these fruits of minds and hands really are and how different they are from 99,5 % available on the market.

Thanks as well to Laura, family, friends and “early adopters” that don’t need an explanation when we come with something new and thanks for saying LES VRAIS does exactly what we want to do: come with things so remarkably different, filtered of all the clutter and all the shouting of brands, that you started to ask us: “do you something for this project? Right materiality, feel, quality…”

In “Sala Logia”, a space conceived by Estudio MERO and Dupuis for this year’s edition of Design House Mexico was conceived as a meeting point where past, present and future coexist.

The natural clay on the walls give texture of a cave, the palm tree lighting objects “Cilia” from David P***a reinterpret mexican traditional materials and turn them into familiar yet comtemporary items of our lives.

At NYS Exclusive in Kortrijk, Belgium, the leading local name in luxury jewelry and watches, Stephanie Laporte and Umami architects merged three separate buildings into one elegant and harmonious whole. The original, protected 18th-century townhouse was carefully expanded and anchored in a timeless design where class and sophistication take the center stage.
The renovation embraces the historical grandeur of the building, while subtle contemporary interventions ensure a seamless transition between old and new. Characterful materials, refined detailing, and a thoughtful spatial experience enhance the exclusivity of the jewelry, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and luxury. A stately, timeless environment where craftsmanship and aesthetics meet.

The studio davidpompa fiorito stone meta custom lighting chandelier at one of the main desks at the lower floor and the cupallo wall at the jewellery section upstairs are discrete yet precious pieces matching the top of the trade choice offered by NYS.

It was a pleasure for LES VRAIS to do some brainstorming, selection of the lighting materials and in-situ testing with Stephanie Laporte and Bossuyt interiors.

Referencing l’Art Nouveau, a movement that flourished during the magazine’s founding, L’Officiel opened it first coffee shop in Omotesando, Tokyo’s most culturally vibrant and design-conscious neighborhood.
In a design by Keiji Ashizawa and Ryota Maruyama, the ground floor entrance, where drinks are served, features a sculptural marble counter that welcomes guests with material richness and texture.

Set against a French herringbone floor, series of arched metal walls along the back counter combined with both Ariake Outline barstools and Holm chairs, create a composition where classical detailing meets contemporary expression.
