CMF Insight :
Water transfer printing is a surface treatment method that uses water pressure to apply patterns to products. Initially, the hydrophilic (water-soluble) film is printed with hydrophobic (water-insoluble) ink and then floated on water. At this point, a water transfer activator is introduced to dissolve the film, leaving only the ink particles, and then the product is immersed to transfer the pattern. This cost-effective method can apply patterns regardless of the surface‘s contours or shapes, but it has limitations in expressing physical textures. Therefore, a secondary process is employed to create surface textures.

CMF Insight :
수전사는 물의 압력을 이용해서 제품에 패턴을 입히는 표면처리 공법입니다. 먼저, 수용성(물에 녹는) 필름에 소수성(물에 녹지 않는) 잉크로 패턴을 인쇄한 후 물 위에 이를 띄웁니다. 이때 수전사 활성제(엑티베이터)를 투입해 필름을 녹이고 잉크 입자만 남긴 뒤 제품을 담가 표면에 패턴을 입히는 것으로 표면의 굴곡이나 형상에 관계없이 패턴을 입힐 수 있는 저렴한 방법이지만 물리적 질감 표현에는 다소 한계가 있어 2차 공정을 통해 표면 질감을 표현합니다.
