Rainworks - community projects in Kenya Rainworks supports community projects in the Rift Valley of Kenya, installing rainwater catchment tanks, distribute children's clothing and other projects.

We are currently focused on how we can support the community during the Coronavirus crisis. Rainworks is a small charitable organisation that supports communities in Kenya's Rift Valley with water and other projects. Our main focus is the installation of rainwater catchment tanks: built next to a house with corrugated iron sheet roofing, the catchment tanks collect rainwater, providing enough wate

r for a typical household's drinking needs. Clean water is a major need in this area, which has long suffered high levels of typhoid and other water-related diseases. Rainworks also distributes quality children's clothing and supports mobile clinics, which provide check ups on child and mother health.

Help us support villagers to protect themselves from coronavirus!

As the Coronavirus situation in Kenya worsens, Rainworks is proving re-useable face masks through the women's groups we work with in the Rift Valley. Find out more about our new project and donate to help us reach our target of 5,000 face masks. Donating also helps a local woman tailor.

$10 dollars will pay for 3 masks to be made, distributed by a Rainworks outreach volunteer along with coronavirus prevention information. Make your donation on our website.

Rainworks is supporting the local community with supplies so they can make enough washable and reusable face masks, so that everyone can be have protection against Covid19. Donate to support our project

Rainworks is continuing to distribute soap and essential health information to communities around Lake Nakuru National Park. Mary and John and other community volunteers are working hard every day, and have now reached 483 households, over 4,000 people. We are helping each and every household set up with an innovative low-cost hand washing station. Our volunteers are demonstrating safe hand washing and going through vital health protection such as social distancing and staying at home.

If you'd like to support further work, there is a PayPal link on rainworkskenya.org Thanks!
