Design&Build

Design&Build Smart solutions for carpentry and more.....made well in Italy I love to mix materials, when it suits and have integrated reclaimed metals in some pieces.

Design and Build is a small creative carpentry company based in central Italy and ran by myself, John Sutherland. I use locally sourced materials and/or reclaimed timber to create unique pieces, with great attention to detail throughout. I particularly like working with solid oak as well as other timber, but would welcome challenges for new designs and materials. I have successfully answered and delivered the briefs of clients over the last 10-years, but it is now time to reach out further and seek out more creative projects with imaginative solutions. Take a look the photo examples for inspiration and perhaps I could design and build something for you, too
