After a sleepless night, I did not buy crackers to my 2 year old kid. Full day I felt guilty and by evening I understood what wrong I was doing and how I am pushing my future generations without making them understand how good feel a festival makes you. Considering 70% of earth is water, only 30% is land area. In that there are hundreds of countries where India might occupy about 0.5% Max. In 365 days deepavali comes 1day and on that 1 day burning of cracker is a few minutes work which makes the family feel good for rest of the year...... Does this pollution really of concern compared to the happiness of the family and children.... Don't burn crackers, Don't keep Ganapathi, Don't celebrate holi..... Where are we heading.... A false way of suppression our cultural rituals... Why this does not apply to other festivals. Why people do not tell to avoid other forms of pollution like vehicle fumes, factory waste, loud sounds etc,.....which pollute us 365/24. Later felt will empty my pocket to buy crackers tomorrow
