To release something within us that no longer serves us( but we have an attachment to), cannot be let go of fully until we first look at what we can learn from it to benefit our growth and then although it may seem odd, we need to befriend it enough so the ties may loosen in order to be set free.

We have unconsciously built a relationship with it.

Nothing can be released by fighting it.

Compassion, validation, insight and gratitude help immensely on the path to release and transformation of what has been bound.
