Fishermen's Cooperative Komiza has been founded in 2000. It exists and functions in one of the oldest traditional fishing places of Adriatic- in Komiza on the island of Vis, Croatia. It holds the centuries old tradition of catching the fish with the selective, low-impact fishing tool-longline, by wich the fish caught in such a way is distinguished by its high quality, taste and it ensures the low impact and sustainability of the fishing resources. Fishermen's Cooperative Komiza specializes in wholesale of the fresh fish, predominately the white fish, quality rock-fish and the Adriatic lobster. Within the business of our Cooperative we have a mobile fish market / "Peškarija" by which we supply the customers of our Islands Comunity, our town Komiza and many tourists in the season.
