【傳承與重聚｜感恩《解密港彩——百年彩瓷在香港》講座】 🎨✨
剛過去的星期日，我和媽媽非常榮幸受「香港陶瓷研究會」邀請，一同出席了由該會及香港中央圖書館（香港記憶）聯合舉辦的精彩講座——《解密港彩——百年彩瓷在香港》。
作為昔日香港彩瓷廠「陶趣閣」的第二代，看見大螢幕上展示著港彩歷史的點點滴滴，內心充滿了感觸與感動。有父親的手繪書法的瓷器、「陶趣閣」八十年代熱賣產品和我向大專學生，曾經講解「香港彩瓷」的照片。
當天的講者：嚴惠蕙小姐與何廖綺玲女士（何太）的講解極其精彩深入，將港彩近百年的發展歷程、技術精粹以及融合東西文化的獨特風格剖析得淋漓盡致，為香港彩瓷這段寶貴的非物質文化遺產留下了美好的紀錄與回憶。
更讓人興奮的是，當天現場宛如一場彩瓷界和同好的溫馨聚會！除了遇見著名香港歷史學家丁新豹博士，還有粵東彩瓷廠老闆曹生、曹小姐以及許多志同道合的老朋友。大家聚首一堂交流切磋，彷彿又把我們帶回到，香港文化博物館曾於 2018 年 12 月 19 日至 2019 年 3 月 18 日舉辦港彩流金：二十世紀香港彩瓷專題展覽會場。
衷心感謝「香港陶瓷研究會」與「香港中央圖書館」主辦這場意義深遠的講座。讓這份屬於香港人的色彩與工藝記憶傳承下去，希望市民大眾能夠認識與支持。

【Inheritance & Reunion | Grateful for the "Decoding Gangcai — Appreciating a Century of Painted Porcelain in Hong Kong" Public Lecture】 🎨✨
Last Sunday, my mother and I were deeply honored to be invited by the Hong Kong Society of Ceramic Studies to attend the inspiring public lecture, "Decoding Gangcai — Appreciating a Century of Painted Porcelain in Hong Kong," co-organized by the Society and the Hong Kong Central Library (Hong Kong Memory).
As the second generation of "To Tsu Kok” a former Hong Kong painted porcelain factory), seeing the fragments of Gangcai history displayed on the big screen touched my heart profoundly. Among the slides were porcelain featuring my father's hand-painted calligraphy, popular "To Tsu Kok “ products from the 1980s, and photos of me giving lectures on "Hong Kong Painted Porcelain" to tertiary students.
The guest speakers, Ms. Yim Wai-wai and Mrs. Ho Liu Yee-ling (Mrs. Ho), delivered insightful and captivating presentations. They vividly analyzed the century-long development of Gangcai, its artistic techniques, and its unique style that seamlessly blends Eastern and Western cultures, leaving behind beautiful memories and records for this precious intangible cultural heritage of Hong Kong.
What made the day even more exciting was that the venue felt like a heartwarming gathering of painted porcelain artisans and enthusiasts! Beyond meeting the renowned Hong Kong historian, Dr. Joseph Ting Sun-pao we also reconnected with Mr. Tso and Ms. Tso from Yuet Tung China Works, alongside many old friends who share the same passion. Gathering and chatting together brought us right back to the vibrant atmosphere of the “Golden Splendours: 20th-Century Painted Porcelains of Hong Kong exhibition” held at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum (Dec 19, 2018 – Mar 18, 2019).
My heartfelt thanks go to the Hong Kong Society of Ceramic Studies and the Hong Kong Central Library for hosting such a meaningful lecture. Let us continue to pass down this vibrant memory of Hong Kong’s craftsmanship, and we hope the general public will come to appreciate and support it.
