Mantinades

Mantinades Mantinades are short Cretan rhymes. Frans van Vlerken has transalated and created a booklet of Mantinades transalated from Greek.

Frans van Vlerken, born in The Netherlands, has translated traditional Cretan rhymes into Dutch, German and English in order to reach non Greek speakers. He has produced a little book of these translations as well as illustrating it with his own water color paintings. Frans has been living and working in the South-East of Crete since 1983. As well as being an author and a painter, he is a farmer.
