A recent project completed in the Knowle area.

We transformed this home with a full electrical working alongside RBC & Sons for the main building work.

We worked closely with the builder to deliver a high-spec electrical installation, including subtle LED tape lighting around the skylight and kitchen island to create a warm, modern feel.

All lighting was bespoke and supplied by GBS in Hockley Heath, finished with dimmer controls to give the homeowners complete flexibility in setting the perfect warm atmosphere throughout the space.

⚡️ Commercial Office Upgrade in the City Centre ⚡️

We’ve just completed a full socket installation for a busy commercial office in the heart of town! 🏙️

Our team installed new metal clad socket outlets neatly contained in 25mm steel conduit, seamlessly connected through the building’s existing metal galvanised trunking system.

Power was taken from the existing floor sockets to provide access across multiple office areas which ensures
a clean, durable, and professional finish.

Emergency Call-Out – Late Sunday Night ⚡
We were called by a customer who noticed smoke coming from one of her sockets. On inspection, the cause was traced to a loose neutral cable connection.

Copper is a relatively soft metal, and if not terminated securely, it can gradually loosen over time, creating both heat and risk.

👉 Upgrading your fuseboard with RCD protection could have reduced the danger in this case.
While an RCD doesn’t directly detect a loose neutral, it does monitor for imbalances in the current. If a loose neutral causes current to leak to earth, the RCD would detect this and trip the circuit, cutting power and preventing a potentially dangerous situation.

RCDs are designed to save lives by detecting earth leakage and protecting against electric shock. Something every home should have if possible.
