Good morning everybody. Cabin Beds are really popular with our customers. The smallest room is always the most difficult to reach its full potential. Once you have a bed in the room there is very little space for any other furniture, which means that fitted is usually the only feasible option. We have developed a product which allows a Child's bedroom to become a lovely space which they will enjoy spending time in. Alan approached me through a friend's recommendation and explained that his daughter's bedroom was not functioning as well as they wished, the specification was a bed with underneath storage, wardrobe space and a desk for studying. I did CAD drawings and an estimate and then returned to discuss their options for colours and handles etc. After an unavoidable hiccup with Alans Decorating which pushed the fit date back a little we were able to fit this product in a day. A welcoming, hospitable family who were delighted with their daughters new bedroom.

Good Morning. It's probably a good idea to let our customers know that although we are called Finchfield Bedrooms, we do all sorts of cabinetry work. Living rooms, bedrooms, boot rooms, studies etc. Here we have a run of low line cupboards which we did for a customer who wanted storage for her retro LPs and stereo unit. Sally asked for simple but classy. Like with every enquiry we have, I initially visited Sally and she discussed with me her specifications. I then went away and did CAD drawings for her to see and did a costing for her to consider. When the job was confirmed, I revisited Sally to discuss colours ,styles, handles etc. She chose Legno white and I agreed to set forward the plinth and side fills which gives an attractive in frame look. Please feel free to check out the kind google review that Sally left us along with other complimentary reviews.

Good Morning. Quite a straight forward fit this week. Finished in Legno cashmere, shaker door and Florence handle. All our most popular choices. A whole wardrobe was allocated for box shelving, required for bathroom towels etc. In addition, double hanging in another wardrobe and internal shelves with hanging at the top in the last wardrobe. We can do any arrangement of shelves, hanging drawers, its all up to you. All internals in light Oak 18mm carcass with soft close doors & drawers. The panels, filler & plinth have been brought forward to surround the door, to give a more in frame look. Not much more to really say about this one, very straight forward everyday storage with a neutral and timeless finish.

Good Morning. Budget is most important when considering new storage in your home. Sandra had been quoted very high prices from some of our competitors for new wardrobes. She chatted with me and explained that she wasn't looking to spend the money that the national companies would charge because she had more than one bedroom to refit. I explained to her that we did a range which is a flat panel door and comes in significantly cheaper than a moulded panel door. The quality of wardrobe is still excellent and still has soft close doors & drawers, however the manufacturing process for these doors is just cut and edge which works out significantly cheaper than a moulded MDF door. It gives a contemporary look which would fit in any home and looks very smart. Another benefit to this range is that the choice of colour or wood grain is tremendous. Lovely olive greens, midnight blues, light oaks, dark walnuts, even baby blue or rose pink (very popular for children's cabin bedrooms). We managed to do both rooms for Sandra for less than the cost she had been quoted by our competitors for just one room by. All our wardrobes are solid 18mm carcass with 18mm solid back. The video shows just one of Sandra's new wardrobes. Sandra is now tidy, organised and very happy with her new wardrobes.

Here we have an interesting installation by Finchfield Bedrooms. Gary is a returning customer who has recently moved home and required new bedroom/study furniture. The intention was to knock 2 bedrooms through. One side for the bed and some freestanding furniture which he already owned and use the other side for wardrobes and a study area. The existing furniture was dark walnut and therefore Gary wanted to tie this in with some of the new fitted furniture. However, he felt to do all in dark walnut would be a little oppressive. He took the bold move and decided to do the wardrobes white and the study area in dark walnut. I did a few CAD drawings to allow him to see the effect of the white next to the walnut. The finished result far exceeded our expectations and both the customer and Finchfield Bedrooms were delighted with the result.

Do you have an area in your home which you feel has not reached its full storage potential? Maybe an area off your laundry or a nice sized porch which is wasting valuable space?

As you come in from your garden, the most frustrating thing is how the dirt from your toils spreads through your home due to not having a dedicated area to leave your dirty coat and boots etc. Similarly coming in from a lengthy dog walk or just from heavy rain and having nothing in your porch area to leave outside clothing before walking through your hallway can be a problem.

Boot rooms are becoming more and more popular these days. For those of us who love the great outdoors but also the comforts of a clean environment, a dedicated area to dress down could be just what you need to keep your home clean and tidy.

This week we had a porch area in a recently renovated, beautiful cottage. It was a lovely, large space and quite clearly would benefit from some useful and stylish storage. The specification for design was shoe and coat storage with an area to sit and change footwear, and baskets to store the replacement indoor essentials (slippers etc).

The design features chosen by the customer were a shaker door in forest green. Tongue and groove end panels and baskets for that country feel. All very sympathetic to the style of property. Finished with stepped forward fillers and plinths for that luxurious framed door look. They were so delighted with the end result that we will be returning next month to do a similar fit on the opposite side of the porch to compliment the existing.

Thank you Joe and Natalie for being so hospitable whilst we worked in your home.

Also if you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy kitchen supplier/installer then Joe is your man. Owner of Crafted Contemporary Kitchens LTD and a lovely chap to do business with.

Good Morning
Our sliding wardrobes are a real favourite for customers who have limited space in their bedroom. Sometimes if you were to fit a standard hinged wardrobe, there wouldn't be enough space to fully open the door. See how much storage space can be created from a 3 door sliding wardrobe. This particular wardrobe has a brushed steel frame and light beige glass with a central dress mirror. Interior is in oak with soft close internal drawers. Have a great weekend & Happy Mother's Day to all our Mums.

Our style of fitting can vary, depending on customer preferences and budgets. Here we have an interesting design. This is our flat panel door range. A more reasonably priced solution to your storage needs however quality is never compromised. The reason we can come in at a more competitive price is that all doors/worktops and other components are cut from large boards and flat edged (no pre-moulded panels or edges). This design suits a more modern and contemporary look and we have so many colours and wood grains to choose from. This particular fit was finished in Dark Grey Fine Line with our usual oak interior. On this particular job, all panels & fillers were brought forward to sit in line with the doors & drawers, which gives a more in frame look. On occasions this could be a viable solution if your intention is to keep the existing carcasses and just changing the exterior. Please message Finchfield Bedrooms if you have a project which you would like to address.

Don't forget folks that we also do revamps. This bedroom yesterday was in desperate need of some TLC. The customer had just moved into their new home and realised that the doors were old and the laminate had started to part company from the door blank. We call this a foil lift. As you can see one door was so bad that when the customer tried to repair it they gave up and stripped it right back. The carcass was still very respectable and therefore it was a shame to replace the whole wardrobe. I visited with samples and we got a close colour match. The customer then chose a door style and all components were measured so that we could replace like for like. All that was left to do was wait for the order to come in and we fitted the new components to the existing wardrobe carcass. It looked great and we had another happy customer.
